Fields of Activity

We do research, evaluate and design in the fields of didactics, vocational education, school development, development of higher education, and educational management.

In our centres of competence, we combine basic research with practical development projects and training for practitioners. Our fields of activity are:

  Development of social competencies, self-regulated and technology-enhanced learning, assessment, business education
• Vocational education
  Research, counseling, and developing vocational education on the levels of educational policy as well as institutions.
• School development
  Supporting schools in effectively managing development processes and professionalizing school management.
• Development of Higher Education
  Supporting the development of teaching and learning in higher education institutions on all organizational levels.
• Educational management
  Strategy development, analyzing and desigigning learning cultures, technology-enhanced learning with Web 2.0, learning value management

In our research we do not adhere to one specific research paradigm. Instead we combine different approaches and methodologies depending on the respective problems.

Our training services (Workshops, seminars, and training programmes) aim at fostering transfer from the training situation into learners' practical work.
